Dear fellow Skallegues,
Hard to believe that our summer months of July & August 2022 are now behind us, as we move into fall. We can hope that our fall season is a good one with winter many weeks away.
With the fall season we return to the Club's monthly meetings, with a Member & Partner Dinner on September 27th at The Fort Garry Hotel. We are looking forward to getting back together and enjoying the social and business networking for what SKAL offers.
In October Denis & Doris Smith and myself will attend the 2022 World Congress in Croatia and we will be supporting Denis who is a nominee for the position of "Auditor".
While summer is the time for many to take vacation, two of our committees conducted initial meetings for the planning of the Club's 60th Anniversary in 2023 with our celebration scheduled for March 4, 2023. The 60th Anniversary Committee is chaired by David Chizda, Past President. Additionally, our committee for the 2024 NASC Congress Chaired by Lilian Tankard, has initiated the planning process for the Club to finally host this congress (May 2-5, 2024) after having to cancel it in 2020 due to the pandemic. I thank these committee members for their efforts.
