“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas “ a little bit of snow, a lot of Christmas lights, some music, but no lettuce 🥬.
Now that our health restrictions have been lifted, after 38 long months …we can graduate from a table for 2 to a table for 14 and celebrate with our families, not on Zoom. While we don’t have a crystal ball, we will continue to focus on the new initiatives set out by Skal international and work towards a harmonious implementation of their directives. In our own Winnipeg Club we are planning a fabulous evening to celebrate our 60th Anniversary on March 4,2023 as well as the NASC Conference for May 2024. Of course the NASC Congress will showcase our beautiful city, and we continually try to plan our monthly dinners meetings and events with our members in mind.
While we lost a few members this year, we were able to add 9 new members so the club remains 40 members strong. Thanks for these efforts go to our Executive Committee as well as Lorne Perrin for his continued efforts and follow up. Welcome our newest members; Penny McMillan, Scott Reid, Toni Hudson, Jackie Storry & Tara Stefansson. Your participation and new ideas will enhance our programs, and we welcome your suggestions.
I would like to express my gratitude for the trust you have placed in me as your president and look forward to another year full of learning and adventure. I wish you all a Healthy and Happy Holiday Season , hope we can move a little closer to World Peace, and Pray for those suffering in the Ukraine. Stay Safe, so when we meet again, no one will be missing. Tammy 🎄 |
